Monica Cowing

The world of marketing is always changing, but no one is more equipped to keep up with it than Monica. She comes to Uptick with a BA in sociology, over 20 years of experience, and energy to spare. She’s essentially our relationship nurturer—she offers marketing solutions to new clients to help them achieve their business goals, and keeps our existing clients happy and always seeing results. Monica’s favorite part of the job? You guessed it—meeting new people and establishing long-lasting relationships with them.

Monica is originally from Pittsburgh, but moved to Dallas at age 14 with her family. She lived in Texas for over 20 years and still calls it "back home" when it comes up in conversation. She is also the youngest child in her family and the only girl, which definitely contributed to her scrappy, resourceful personality. Speaking of her childhood, Monica grew up wanting to be an optometrist and even worked for one in Texas before starting her own career path in marketing.

Monica loves marketing because every day is a new day—technology and best practices are always evolving, and she finds that exciting. It's rewarding to her when she sees a business succeed due in part to her efforts, and she loves to offer solutions that help Uptick's clients achieve their business goals.

When she’s not helping clients, Monica loves to spend time with her daughter, Ava, try out new recipes in the kitchen, work in her garden, and go antiquing.
