Liz Evans is a native of Birmingham and an Auburn University graduate. She discovered her passion for marketing early on through her volunteer work with Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF). That passion deepened as she pursued her bachelor’s degree in marketing at Auburn and began her career by interning at Breakthrough T1D as a Marketing and Social Media Specialist, where she managed marketing initiatives, social media strategy, and community engagement.
After graduating, Liz started her career at Uptick, transitioning between a variety of roles, from Marketing Coordinator to Account Manager to Senior Account Manager. In these roles, she’d consult with clients, assist with marketing planning, and gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, including advertising, analytics, social media management, and SEO. That experience gave her a strong understanding of what clients need to keep marketing work organized and moving forward, and our leadership saw this as high potential for operations-related responsibilities.
Now serving as Uptick’s Onboarding and Operations Specialist, Liz handles the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our onboarding and offboarding organized and helps new client accounts get off to a strong start. She gathers assets, organizes account access, and troubleshoots setup issues, ensuring our internal teams have everything they need to launch and support successful campaigns for our clients. Working closely with our Director of Operations, Liz also helps keep the processes behind that work organized and efficient.
In 2024, the Birmingham chapter of the American Advertising Federation recognized Liz for her dedication and expertise at its annual TEN Awards, naming her the Account Service Award winner. This award recognizes excellence in managing client accounts and relationships, a fitting recognition.
Liz holds an impressive number of certifications, spanning Google Ads and Analytics, HubSpot Graphic Design and Content Marketing, Adobe Professional Programs, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Program, and more.
Outside the office, Liz enjoys gardening and spending time on the lake, where she loves wake surfing and jet skiing. Liz also enjoys watching Friends… on repeat. Rumor has it she’s seen it at least 15 times (and counting). At home, she and her husband, James, have the joy of raising their precious baby girl and two adorable cats.
