Meet Jaylah Cosby!

It’s one thing to have a marketing intern. It’s quite another thing to have a marketing intern as capable, funny, and stylish as Jaylah Cosby. Here at Uptick, we’re thrilled to announce that we have a new content team intern — and boy, do we love her! We took a minute to ask her some questions so that you could find out what makes her tick (and why we’re so crazy about her). Ready to meet Jaylah? Read on!

Where Are You From Originally?

I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. I technically live in the Forestdale/Adamsville area, but it still counts.

Where Did You Go to School?

I attended the Jefferson County International Baccalaureate School, where I learned to spell “baccalaureate” without spellcheck. I currently attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Where Have You Worked Before?

I worked in the Collat School of Business at UAB. I still go by and visit.

What Are Your Hobbies and Interests?

I spend an ungodly amount of time watching makeup tutorials on YouTube and shopping in Sephora. So, makeup may be more of an addiction rather than a hobby or interest.

Favorite Band? Food? Movie? TV Show?

My favorite band is Destiny’s Child (of course). I’m a foodie, so picking a favorite food is blasphemous, but my favorite KIND of food is breakfast food. My favorite movie is Cheetah Girls 2. I am and will always be a Gladiator, so Scandal is my absolute favorite show.

Why Are You Excited to Be Working at Uptick?

I’m excited to be working at Uptick because this is my first time applying what I’ve learned in my college classes in the real world. I’m looking forward to soaking up the Uptick genius-ness like a sponge!

What Else Should We Know About You?

A fun fact about me is that I sing A LOT, even though I’m not the best singer. I even turn regular conversations into songs.
