Uptick Marketing is happy to announce that we’ve hired a Graphic Design Intern, Mary Allison Thrasher! We’re even happier to announce that after a couple weeks working with her, she’s a pleasure to have around the office. So much so, in fact, that we thought we’d ask Mary Allison a few questions so you can get to know her.
Where are you from originally?
I’m from Birmingham, Alabama.
Where did you go to college and what did you major in?
I graduated from Auburn University with degree in Public Relations and minor in Leadership.
What are some of your favorite memories with the Tiger Eyes Dance Line?
The 2013 season as a whole was very memorable with the Miracle in Jordan-Hare against Georgia, Kick Six against Bama, and a trip to Pasadena for the National Championship.
Where have you worked before?
I teach dance at Lifetime Fitness.
Hobbies & interests?
Dance, Calligraphy, and my dog Knox.
What is your favorite band?
Needtobreathe (which puts Mary Allison in great company in the Uptick office!)
Why are you excited to work at Uptick?
I’m excited to to work at Uptick because I get to do something I love while surrounded by a great group of people, and learn even more about the marketing industry.
What are some interesting facts about yourself?
I auditioned for The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and was in Season 13 of their show “DCC: Making the Team.”
What’s the most awkward/embarrassing moment you’ve had?
I’m pretty sure I experience awkward moments daily, but nothing ever sticks out as being exceptionally awkward or embarrassing enough to remember.
