Uptick’s Magic City Makeover is in full swing! We’re giving away $35,000 worth of marketing services to two winners: a Birmingham-based nonprofit and a Christian nonprofit (anywhere in Alabama).

With a prize like this up for grabs, we wanted to answer some of your questions to educate you about our Magic City Makeover competition.

How Did the Magic City Makeover Get Started?

Uptick was on a company retreat, thinking about how to give back to Birmingham. We decided that our talents as marketing experts could help us reach nonprofits and give them a stronger marketing presence. We have a deep love and passion for our city, and this is the perfect way for us to help those who help our neighbors in the Magic City.

It’s a Competition. Does That Mean I Have to Be Competitive?

Nope! It’s a competition because you’re competing against other nonprofits in your category. All you have to do is apply and upload a video telling us what you do and how you do it. The application is simple, and it’s the perfect opportunity for you to tell us about the amazing things you’ve been up to!

Is My Nonprofit Too Small to Be Considered?

As long as your nonprofit is a 501(c)(3), you are eligible to apply. The size of your nonprofit isn’t a deciding factor when it comes to picking finalists, either, so whether you work with 3 people or 50 people, we’d love for you to apply!

What happens if We Win?

If your nonprofit is chosen as one of our two Magic City Makeover winners, you’ll be welcomed into the Uptick family! We’ll meet with you in our office to really nail down your brand identity and discover how we can help you reach your goals. In totality, we will work with you for about six months.

Winning the competition has the same result as if you’d hired us to do your digital marketing. You become one of our clients and we dedicate our time, brain power, and skills to updating your digital presence – at no cost to you. Here are the details of the prize package:
