A great communicator, dependable teammate, and problem-solver, Jarrod Nieves has always been determined, even as a child. Jarrod grew up in Birmingham, and competitive soccer was his first aspiration. He spent thousands of hours training year-round in the hopes of going pro. But when a back injury in high school forced him to quit soccer and rethink his path, he channeled his passion into something new: marketing.
Before college, Jarrod threw himself into the music industry, working with artists, venues, and production companies. This work had him attending promotional events and artist projects, which kept marketing on his radar. Jarrod was genuinely intrigued by how marketing strategies combine creativity with problem-solving and how the industry constantly shifts. That spark stayed with him through his studies at the University of North Alabama, eventually leading him to Uptick as one of our Account Managers. His creative instincts and analytical skillset make him a great addition to the Uptick team!
Jarrod still loves and is extremely passionate about music, but his playlist can be a bit unpredictable—jumping from deathcore metal to R&B. When he’s not working, Jarrod is a self-proclaimed nerd who enjoys playing video games and working on his custom-built computer. Outside the office, you’ll likely spot him grabbing a bite to eat at one of the best new restaurants in town.
