How to Find Your Google Ads Account ID

Screen image of google ads dashboard

Your Google Ads Account ID, also called your Customer ID, is a 10-digit number. You’ll find it next to your account name and profile picture, in the top right corner of your screen on your dashboard (the page you’ll be on when you log in to your account), or under Account Information

If you use a manager account, click your profile picture in the top right corner. In the window that opens up, you should see options for other linked accounts you manage and their IDs below the “Manage your Google Account” button.

You can also find the ID in past billing emails, or in your Payment profiles (which is under Billing, a tab on the left-hand side of the page).

What the Customer ID is and when you need it

Your Customer ID is the unique 10-digit number that identifies your Google Ads account. Think of it as your account’s reference number.

You will use your Customer ID to:

  • Contact Google Ads support.
  • Link an Ads account to an Ads Manager account.
  • Grant an agency or partner access to your Ads account.
  • Verify account ownership during troubleshooting.
  • Locate billing records or payment profiles tied to your ads.

Don’t forget:

  • Only share your Customer ID (the 10-digit number) with people you trust. It is not a password, but it does identify your account.
  • Do not confuse it with a conversion ID, Google Analytics property ID, or campaign ID. Those are different.

Find your Customer ID on desktop (fastest)

Follow these steps:

  1. Sign in at https://ads.google.com/nav/login.
  2. Look at your profile picture in the top right.
  3. Immediately to the left of the picture, you will see your 10-digit Customer ID, followed by your account name and email address.

Other quick spots on desktop:

  • When you click on your photo, under Manage your Google Account, you will see your account name and Account ID.
  • In past Google Ads emails or invoices.
  • In Billing > Payments profiles.

Find the ID in a manager account (MCC)

Follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your manager account at ads.google.com.
  2. Go to Accounts (it’s in the navigation bar on the left-hand side of your screen), then click any of these tabs that appear: Performance, Budgets, or Sub-account settings.
  3. After you choose one of these tabs,  tab you choose, you’ll see a table that lists all your accounts, one per row.
  4. In the farthest-left column of each row in the table, you’ll find an account name and the 10-digit Customer ID.

Other quick spots on desktop:

  • In the drop-down list that appears when you click on your account name in the top left corner of your screen (immediately to the right of the Google Ads logo).

Tips for Safely Sharing Your ID with an Agency or Partner

  • Share your 10-digit Customer ID only with trusted partners.
  • Do not send passwords or recovery codes. The Customer ID is enough.
  • Ask the agency to request access from their manager account using your Customer ID.
  • Approve the request in Admin > Access and security > Managers.
  • Pick the right access level. Use Read-only for audits and Standard/Admin when you are ready for changes.
  • Remove access at any time by navigating to Admin > Access and security.

Troubleshooting

New account and ID not showing?

  • Wait a few minutes, refresh, and sign back in.

Multiple accounts?

  • Click your profile picture and switch to the correct account. Confirm the ID under Account information.

No UI access?

  • Search past Google Ads emails or invoices for the ID, or check Billing > Payments profiles once you regain access. Ask an admin to invite you or contact Google Ads support with proof of ownership.

Manager request pending?

  • The owner must approve it in Admin > Access and security > Managers.

Linked the wrong account?

  • In the manager, go to Sub-account settings, unlink the incorrect account, and then repeat the linking steps with the correct ID.

Still stuck?

  • Capture a screenshot of the problem without sensitive info and contact Google Ads Support.
